Hello there!
My name is Ed Mathews.
In my career, I have been a minister, a missionary, and a university professor. I have traveled to 180 countries, preaching and mentoring in various cultures of the world. When I wasn’t travelling, I helped train missionaries in the Department of Missions at Abilene Christian University for 38 years.
Although I officially retired from teaching in 2008, I carved out time every day to study scripture in the quiet of my upstairs office at home.
Over time my discoveries were arranged into books. These discoveries have been put on this blog: Plow New Ground.
On this site, you will find information on “laughter” and “war.” You can read “daily devotionals” and “doctrinal studies.” And you will see “church bulletin articles.”
My writing is only a beginning. Keep reading the Bible. Continue studying the word. My work is merely a launching pad.
