Road Side Reminders: Sayings Suitable for a Church Sign

The street-side “pulpit” is only a small piece of a larger puzzle. Yet it is a piece. Use the sign for all its potential. Post tidbits of truth to challenge the lost, cheer the saved, and help the hurting.
The majority of those who drive by your building will never attend worship. They have no intention of doing so. Thus, your sign may be the only means of introducing your congregation to them.
If they are going the speed limit, messages must be short. Brief statements, properly spaced, are all they have time to read. SO GIVE THEM SOMETHING WORTH READING!

It is a seed-sowing ministry. There is no need to plant if you do not want (or expect) a harvest! But, given there is a reason for maintaining a sign, you should cash-in on all its soul-winning value.
The audience each day is several times larger than that which assembles
in the auditorium on Sunday. Yet those in their cars are similar to those in the pews: male and female, young and old, kind and cranky. The obvious difference is the ratio of the lost-to-the saved and the limitations in time for “talking” to them!
So why bother? Well, it is assumed there are some souls out there that can be reached (while they drive by). THIS IS THE FAITH UPON WHICH THE SIGN MINISTRY IS BASED.
Hence, post tidbits of truth to challenge the lost, cheer the saved, and help the hurting. Hopefully, it will pique their interest.
The message must be short—ten words of less. All (but one) of the following “road-side reminders” stay within that perimeter.
